Some of the traffic wardens have printed fake challan books to empty the innocent citizens’ pockets through their illicit tactics in the name of violence of laws on vehicles.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, two traffic wardens were arrested after registering a case against them for using a fake challan book and issuing challans to innocent vehicle riders in Khoshab, Punjab.

The report said that both the traffic police officers named Mohammad Iqbal and Muhammad Naeem had issued challans to the vehicles’ riders through a fake challan book.

The fake challan book was exposed when a citizen named Gul Dad complained to DSP Nellofar Hayat about the unwarranted challan.

The DSP checked the record of challan number 43633/13 but some other person’s name was mentioned there on which a case was registered in the police station against the wardens and arrested them.

Pertinent to mention here that on August 27, 2019, traffic warden Zaheer Inam was also penalized and dismissed from service for having a fake challan book in Rawalpindi.
