Nawab of Junagadh, Nawab Jahangir Khan Jee has demanded the government to establish a Junagadh House in Islamabad for us, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Addressing a press conference on Wednesday, he said they intend to raise the issue of Junagadh at the international level and a secretariat in form of Junagadh House in Islamabad can play a significant role in our movement. “We are facing difficulties in the absence of a secretariat,” he asserted. He said his grandfather never claimed any property or benefits in Pakistan.

Flanked with other dignities, he lamented that Junagarh has always been part of Pakistan as the ruler of Junagarh had annexed Pakistan during the Partition of India but India seized the state by force on November 9, 1947.

Nawab of Junagadh said that despite Junagarh’s agreement for accession to Pakistan in 1947, the Muslim-ruled Junagarh state remained under illegal Indian occupation for the last 75 years.

He thanked Pakistan for including Junagadh in the political map of Pakistan. It is a source of great joy for us that Pakistan has clarified its stand for Junagadh, he added.

Nawab Jahangir Khan Jee said that his father had been fighting for the liberation of Junagarh from the cruel clutches of India till his death in 1985.

“Since then I am striving for freedom, he said adding that India violated UN and international laws regarding the Junagarh princely state.

He vowed to continue the struggle for the liberation of Junagarh.

“I will not rest and will not stay quiet till I have achieved my goal of the liberation of Junagarh,” he said.

The Nawab said that Junagarh was part of Pakistan and it would remain so.

He informed the media that about 2.5 million people from Junagadh are residing in Pakistan. “They have made immense sacrifices for Pakistan,” he hinted. He said that he would also create awareness among Pakistanis regarding the Junagadh issue.

Nawab Jee hoped that the Pakistani government would continue to help us besides the Kashmir cause as both issues affect each other.
