PAF C-130 carrying food aid lands in Kabul

Pakistan Ambassador to Afghanistan Mansoor Ahmad Khan said that Pakistan Air Force C-130 landed at Kabul Airport carrying relief goods and medicines for Afghan people, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

In a tweet on Thursday, the ambassador said, “Received today at Kabul airport first C-130 of PAF carrying relief goods in food and medicines out of 36 MT package and delivered to Afghan public health.”

The Pakistan government will dispatch more humanitarian assistance including food and medicines for the people of Afghanistan.

“Three special C-130s are being dispatched. After the first immediate tranche through the air, further supplies will be sent by land,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

It is pertinent to note that China will provide almost $31 million worth of food, winter weather supplies, vaccines, and medicine to Taliban-controlled Afghanistan, China's Foreign Ministry said Wednesday.

Hua Chunyin, the spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry, said the decision was announced during the first meeting of the foreign ministers of Afghanistan's neighboring countries and would be "for emergency use to the Afghan people.”
