Joint Opposition has made a consensus in the name of Mian Hamza Shehbaz Sharif as a candidate for the slot of Punjab Chief Ministership.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, Qamar Zaman Kaira on Friday hosted a dinner in honour of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) leadership.

Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) President Mian Shahbaz Sharif and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman also attended the dinner.

The sources said that the main leadership of the joint opposition made a consultation meeting on the no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan on this occasion.

The sources said Hamza Shahbaz will be the unanimous candidate for the post of Chief Minister from the opposition in Punjab as Bilawal Bhutto and Shahbaz Sharif agreed on it.
