PTI chief Imran Khan presided over a meeting of the party core committee at Zaman Park in Lahore.

Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, Aleem Adil Sheikh, Sheikh Rasheed, Sibtain Khan, Asad Umar, Ijaz Chaudhry, Shafaqt Mehmood, Mian Aslam Iqbal and other key figures participated in the huddle.

The meeting mulled over measures to give tough time to the government to mount pressure for elections in KP and Punjab.

The enforced disappearance of party leaders and workers also came under discussion during the meeting.

According to sources, party members stressed President Arif Alvi should be advised not to sign the judicial reforms bills.

President Alvi should send a reference on the bill and seek an opinion from the Supreme Court, they suggested, adding that a protest be launched against the government in collaboration with lawyers' organizations.

Earlier, former Punjab CM Chaudhry Parvez Elahi met ex-PM Imran Khan at Zaman Park.

The two leaders discussed the case pending in the Supreme Court and the ongoing political issues.

Imran Khan stressed the party has no issue with whether a full bench is formed or not.

The Constitution clearly states that elections be held within 90 days, he added.

Parvez Elahi said the PML-N is following the policy of dividing the judiciary while the public will give a strong response to any plot against the judiciary.

People are losing their lives in the flour lines every day, he added. A good number of workers showed up at Zaman Park to attend the meeting.
