54 flights destined for Middle East cancelled from Pakistan

Fifty-four flights operated by various airlines and scheduled to depart for different Middle East countries were canceled from five airports in the country, reported 24News HD TV Channel on Wednesday.

The airlines include Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), Airblue, Air Arabia, Iran Air, and Qatar Airways.

Four two-way flights of the Dubai-Bahrain sector were cancelled from Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore. 

Eighteen two-way flights, which were scheduled to land in Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Jeddah, and Mashhad, failed to take off from Jinnah International Airport Karachi.

Twenty flights were cancelled from New Islamabad International Airport (NIIA). These flights were scheduled to depart for Riyadh, Sharjah, Jeddah, Abu Dhabi, and Dubai.

Ten flights, which were scheduled to take off from Bacha Khan International Airport, Peshawar, were cancelled. These flights were scheduled to land in Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi. Two Doha-bound flights were cancelled from Multan International Airport.

Airport sources said that 2528 Middle East-bound flights were cancelled from Pakistan during the last thirty-two days.
