Momina Iqbal fires back at Saqib Chadhar after remarks about her husband

Pakistani actress Momina Iqbal has responded strongly after Punjab MPA Saqib Chadhar's latest remarks about her husband sparked fresh controversy on social media.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, the actress shared a detailed fact-check questioning the authenticity of a quote and expressed disappointment over what she described as the misuse of a revered Islamic figure's name.

The latest development comes shortly after Momina's husband, Hamza Habib, publicly questioned Saqib Chadhar's explanation regarding Instagram messages that surfaced during the controversy.

Sharing what he described as timeline evidence, Hamza argued that the politician's defence did not match the chronology of the account's verification and criticised the remarks made about women. His comments added fresh momentum to the dispute, which has remained a major topic of discussion across social media.

Momina's latest Instagram Stories focused on a graphic circulating online that carried a quote attributed to Hazrat Ali (RA).

Reacting to the fact-check, Momina said the words had never been said or recorded and alleged that the quote had been falsely attributed to a highly respected Islamic personality.

She described the act as deeply disrespectful and questioned why the name of a revered religious figure should be used to support personal narratives or online disputes.

In another Instagram Story, the actress also expressed disappointment over what she described as a lack of accountability.

Referring to Saqib Chadhar as a sitting Member of the Provincial Assembly, Momina said she could only continue raising her voice publicly while expecting the relevant authorities to decide what action should be taken.

She further alleged that the incident reflected disrespect towards both religion and women and prayed for guidance while condemning what she described as the misuse of a revered Islamic figure's name.
