SC to hear Inland Revenue’s appeal against Aitzaz Ahsan’s wife on Aug 7

The Supreme Court (SC) on Saturday fixed the appeal filed by Inland Revenue against Bushra Aitzaz, wife of renowned lawyer Aitzaz Ahsan, for hearing, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
A three-member bench, headed by Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan, will hear the appeal on August 7.
According to details, Bushra had sought tax exemption for her house situated in Islamabad, which the revenue officials rejected.
They had taken the stance that her Islamabad house had already been granted exemption, which had been sought by her husband Aitzaz.
The Lahore High Court (LHC) had declared the Inland Revenue’s decision on Bushra’s appeal null and void, which prompted the former to file an appeal in the apex court.
