Two drug traffickers killed in encounters with Gujranwala police

Two notorious drug traffickers were gunned down in different police encounters in Gujranwala, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday,

The first police encounter took place in the jurisdiction of Khyali Police Station, in which one drug peddler, who was identified as Ali Sher, was killed by the indiscriminate firing of his accomplices.

Police recovered an illegal weapon from his possession, while his three unknown accomplices escaped from the scene.

In another police encounter in the jurisdiction of Uroop Police Station, one drug-trafficker, Mohammad Ilyas, was killed while he was trying to escape along with his companions at a police picket.

Police said that the accused was killed by the firing of his companions.

In the third police encounter in Qila Deedar Singh, police arrested an accused who was wanted by the police in different criminal cases, including snatching.

The fourth police encounter took place in the jurisdiction of Peoples Colony Police Station during which an accused Shehroz, was arrested in an injured condition.

The accused was wanted by the police in criminal cases, including snatching of motorcycles.

City Police Officer (CPO), Gujranwala, Dr Sardar Ghiyas Gul Khan took notice of this police encounter and directed DSPs to submit a detailed report in this regard.
