Father turns out to be the murderer of Khairpur girl

A horrific incident of violence against children surfaced in the country as police in Khairpur district of Sindh arrested a man for murdering his daughter after raping her, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The police solved this case after 13-year-old Komal was tortured to death two days ago, said Khairpur SSP Amir Saud Gopang.
Sharing the details of the case, the district police chief said Koral Gopang had divorced his wife after which the victim girl used to live with him. However, the accused started sexually assaulting her, he added.
On the day of the incident, the SSP said, he again raped Komal and later strangled her to death.
It is not the first incident of sexually assaulting a daughter as several cases are regularly reported in media but many more go unnoticed with the victims opting to remain silent while fearing social backlash and stigma.
In October, a man was arrested in Jatoi tehsil of Muzaffargarh after the victim girl reached Shahar Sultan Police Station along with her maternal uncle to narrate her months-long ordeal.
The police, who registered a case against the accused, say it wasn’t a one-time incident as the barbaric father continued raping her for six months and had confessed to committing the crime.
