Cop martyred after terrorists storm police station in Lakki Marwat

One policeman was killed in an exchange of fire with terrorists who attacked a police station in Lakki Marwat late Saturday night, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Later when the cops retaliated, the terrorists fled from the scene.

Police sources said that the terrorists attacked the police station at around 12.15 a.m. 

During a heavy exchange of fire between terrorists and the police that lasted for one hour, one cop namely Karamullah embraced martyrdom.

Police started the operation to apprehend the terrorists.

A day earlier, on November 30, 2024, three people, including a policeman, were killed when unidentified assailants opened fire at them in Paharkhel area of Lakki Marwat and escaped from the scene.

The martyred policeman was identified as Qadir Khan, who was posted at a police station in Faisalabad and was present at his home to spend vacations.

Soon after the incident, local police reached the spot and shifted the dead bodies to District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) Lakki Marwat.

Police after registering a case against the accused persons started an investigation while efforts were underway to arrest the culprits till last reports came in.
