Suicide bomber strikes police mobile in Lakki Marwat; one martyred

A police constable was martyred and six others were injured in a suicide attack targeting a police mobile unit from Tajori police station in Lakki Marwat on Monday.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the blast occurred as the vehicle was patrolling the area. The martyred cop was identified as Allauddin, while the SHO is among the injured.
Security forces immediately rushed to the scene, cordoned off the locality and launched a search operation to track down militants believed to be active in the region. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the attack, offering prayers for the slain officer and extending condolences to the bereaved family.
The PM instructed authorities to provide urgent medical treatment to the injured policemen. Sharif vowed that the government would defeat terrorism in all its forms.
He said the state remained resolute in eliminating those who target the lives and property of innocent citizens, stressing that such attacks would not deter Pakistan’s commitment to restoring peace.
