Pakistani designer Maria B has always been very vocal about her views on transgender community and LGBT phenomenon. She openly criticized the things that do not go along with the code of her religion. She was the one who openly condemned the transgender bill and raised her voice to spread awareness regarding the transgender and intersex community. 

This time, she lashed at TV drama ‘Kuch Ankahi’ for promoting the Saim Siddiqui’s film Joyland. The ace designer took her Instagram and posted a screenshot from the drama. In the screenshot, actress Sajal Aly can be seen standing in front of a framed poster of the film Joyland, which is hanging on the wall behind her.

She posted the glimpse and wrote, “We also have dramas promoting Joyland/transgenders subliminally. We are not stupid we get it. Wake up Pakistan and see the new agenda. Rather than trying to save Pakistan, we are selling our religious identity.”

In other story, she penned, “Fight for the rights of our intersex community. They are being abused for 75 years. And now transgender communities are taking over the rights of true intersex people. We will continue to fight against this injustice.”
