US strongly condemns violence ahead of Pakistan elections
The United States has strongly condemned violent incidents in Pakistan ahead of February 8 general elections, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The State Department particularly denounced the bomb blat at a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) rally, which claimed four lives and injured many others in Sibi.
The devastating incident came just nine days before the February 8 general elections in Pakistan.
"The US strongly condemns the attack on PTI party rally in Sibi killing 10 people, which undermines the electoral process, which undermines the electoral process. Pakistani people have the right to choose their leader without fear for the country's stability and prosperity. Our deepest sympathies to those affected," stated the US State Department's Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs in a post on X.
