36 PAS, PSP officers promoted to grade 18

The federal government on Saturday promoted 36 officers from the Police Service of Pakistan (PSP) and the Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS) from Grade 17 to Grade 18 on the recommendations of the Departmental Promotion Committee, which met at the Establishment Division on January 13.

According to the notifications issued by the Establishment Division, 14 Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) have been elevated to the rank of Superintendent of Police (SP), while 22 Assistant Commissioners of the PAS have been promoted to Grade 18. The notifications also include directions regarding postings and transfers.

Among the PSP officers, Resham Jahangir, serving in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has been promoted and directed to continue serving in the province. Syeda Sheherbano, Zainab Ayub and Anam Sher, posted in Punjab, have also been promoted and will continue their services there.

Dania Rana of the Punjab Police Service has been promoted to Grade 18, with her services transferred from the Punjab government to the Sindh government.

Police officers Muhammad Maarij Jalil, Saad Afridi, Muaz-ur-Rehman, Aitzaz Arif, Ayaz Khan, Captain (retd) Nabil Ahmed, Muhammad Noman Zafar, Atiqur Rehman and Usman Aziz Mir, currently serving in Balochistan, have also been promoted and instructed to continue their duties in the province.

In the PAS cadre, Aziz Ali Khan, posted in Islamabad, has been promoted and directed to continue serving there. Ali Ahmed, Hamza Murad and Neelam Ali, posted in Gilgit-Baltistan, have been promoted and asked to report to the Establishment Division.

Muhammad Talha Asad Khan and Lieutenant (retd) Muhammad Owais have also been promoted to Grade 18 and directed to report to the Establishment Division.

Shehryar, Waqas Malook and Madiha Narejo, posted in Sindh, have been promoted and will continue serving in the province. Farwa Batool, currently at the disposal of the Establishment Division, has been promoted and appointed as Officer on Special Duty (OSD), while OSD Establishment Division Nehal Abdullah has also been promoted.

Nadeem Baloch and Abdul Basit Siddiqui have been promoted and transferred from Punjab to Sindh. Anam Babar and Faisal Ahmed, after promotion, have been directed to continue their services in Punjab.

Additionally, Aza Irshad, Basharat Bibi, Ahmed Mughees and Muhammad Hamza Abbas, serving in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, have been promoted and will continue their services there. Muhammad Haseeb Shuja, Khalid Shams and Captain (retd) Hamza Anjum, posted in Balochistan, have also been promoted and directed to remain in the province.

The Establishment Division stated that all promotions and postings have been made in accordance with official procedures and recommendations of the promotion committee.
