Australian envoy attends final Pakistan-Australia T20, praises discipline and enthusiasm of the crowd

Australian High Commissioner Timothy Cane on Sunday attended the third and final Twenty20 international between Pakistan and Australia at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium, 24NewsHD TV reported.

Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, Gilgit-Baltistan Governor Syed Mehdi Shah and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi joined the visiting Australian envoy in watching the match, with the officials praising the players for their competitive performances.

The guests were earlier received at the venue by PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi.

High Commissioner Cane commended the arrangements at Gaddafi Stadium, describing the organisation of the match as smooth and efficient.

He also lauded the discipline and enthusiasm of the crowd, saying it was heartening to see smiling faces among cricket fans across the stands.

Naqvi said Pakistanis shared a deep passion for sports, particularly cricket, and reiterated that Pakistan was a peaceful country whose people were peace-loving and ardent followers of the game.

The presence of senior officials and foreign representatives was seen as another positive signal for Pakistan’s growing confidence in hosting international cricket events.
