Uraan Women Driving School opens in Islamabad under Mohsin Naqvi’s Vision

As per the vision of Interior Minister Mohin Naqvi, Islamabad Traffic Police established Uraan Women Driving School to teach driving skills to women, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
According to details, female traffic instructors will provide training to women in the Uraan Driving School.
The women will be apprised of the implementation of traffic rules and regulations. The purpose behind the establishment of this school is to promote a safe and secure culture for women in driving.
The registration process will start soon.
Earlier, Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) of Islamabad Traffic Police Hamza Humayun said that the police’s crackdown on lane violations and helmet non-compliance has delivered encouraging results, significantly reducing motorcycle-related accidents.
The CTO stated that January 2025 recorded 17 fatal accidents, while 14 other incidents resulted in injuries. In December 2025, the capital witnessed 10 fatal accidents and 14 injury-related crashes, highlighting persistent traffic safety concerns.
However, following the launch of a focused enforcement campaign against lane violations and helmet violations, the situation improved markedly. 
In January 2026, only five motorcycle accidents were reported, reflecting a substantial decline.
