The United States has strongly condemned the recent terrorist attack in Balochistan, expressing solidarity with Pakistan and sympathy for the victims and their families, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Sunday.
In a statement, US Chargé d’Affaires Natalie Baker said Washington denounced in the strongest terms the terrorist attacks targeting security personnel and civilians in Balochistan.
She noted that responsibility for the attack had been claimed by the banned Balochistan Liberation Army, which the United States has designated as a foreign terrorist organisation.
Natalie Baker conveyed heartfelt condolences to the victims of terrorism and their families on behalf of the United States. She said the people of Pakistan have the right to live free from violence and fear.
The US diplomat reiterated that the United States remains a steadfast partner in Pakistan’s efforts to ensure peace and stability. She added that Washington stands in solidarity with Pakistan during this difficult time and supports its fight against terrorism.
