Mohsin Naqvi offers New Year prayers at Lahore’s Data Darbar
Mehfil-e-Milad held as special prayers offered across the country: Interior Minister prays for peace, economic stability and national progress in 2026
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited Lahore’s historic Data Darbar shrine on the occasion of the New Year, where he offered prayers for the country’s stability, integrity and lasting peace.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, a Mehfil-e-Milad Mustafa (peace be upon him) was organised at Data Darbar to mark the beginning of the New Year, in which the interior minister made a special appearance.
During the Data Darbar visit, Mohsin Naqvi also prayed for the elevation of the ranks of martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the defence of the country and the maintenance of peace.
Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi prayed for Pakistan’s development and for the prosperity and well-being of its people.
Similar prayers were also offered in mosques across the country at the start of the New Year, seeking national security, stability and economic prosperity.
Religious scholars prayed that Almighty Allah may remove the challenges facing Pakistan and lead the country towards sustained progress and prosperity.
Citizens expressed hope that the New Year would bring happiness, peace and development for all, describing 2026 as a year of renewed hope, determination and success.
According to the report, many citizens said the entire nation remained optimistic about economic improvement in the coming year.
People also reaffirmed their resolve to begin the New Year with positive thinking and hard work, with several saying they hoped 2026 would fulfil the dreams that remained unachieved in the previous year.
