The second group of six Pakistan cricketers will depart for Manchester on Friday, 3 July, by the national carrier.
The players who will travel by the Pakistan International Airlines are: Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Hasnain, Mohammad Hafeez, Mohammad Rizwan, Shadab Khan and Wahab Riaz.
From Manchester, the six players will be transported to Worcester and will integrate with the side after they test negative in the ECB testing programme.
These six players were part of 10 players who tested positive for coronavirus during the first test. However, M Hafeez and Wahab Riaz went for tests through private lab which returns negative.
Later on, these six players tested negative just four days after testing positive in the second test conducted by the PCB. However, the PCB did not let these players to fly to England through a chartered plane and waited for the result of the second test that also returned negative.
Now as Pakistan is in limbo over the suspension of the national flying carrier by Europe and the UK, the PCB has acted promptly to ensure travelling of these six players on the last available PIA flight that is going to the UK.
