Asma Abbas under fire for expressing condolence over Indian actress Shifali's death
Veteran Pakistani actress Asma Abbas invited public ire for expressing condolences over the death of an Indian actress Shifali Zariwala and for recommending people to avoid anti-ageing injections.
In a video posted by Asma on her YouTube channel, she said the death was a very painful moment and saddened her.
She added she couldn’t imagine the grief of the bereaved family after this irreparable loss.
According to her, she got to know that the deceased used to take anti-ageing injections.
Talking about the consequences of using anti-ageing injections, she said: “What is this craze? If you are comfortable in your own skin nothing can bother you. Such injections weaken your heart and impact your health. Her death was, to an extent, unnatural”
Her remarks triggered a wave of criticism from the public.
An Instagram user wrote “All of you are getting drips and eating crap yourself”
Another added, “She should first make her sister Bushra understand this: Bushra is looking like a 45-year-old at times!!!!”
A person wrote, “Wish you gave the same attention to Gaza and made a video for awareness at least…. But when it comes to that, you all go completely silent”
Netizens want celebrities to speak on the issues which need to be addressed.
