Govt sets up district transaction bodies to finalize merger of Population Welfare Department with Primary Health

In order to finalised the merger of Primary Health Department and Population Welfare Department, the government has set up District Transaction Committees for handing over the assets and records of the departments, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel. 

The Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) will head the Transition Committee in each district. CEOs (Health), District Population Welfare Officers, and DDHOs will be included in the committee. 

The Transition Committee will compile a detailed list of equipment, furniture, and vehicles of the District Population Office. The Committee will prepare a complete inventory of all assets belonging to the Population Welfare Office and will hand over all assets and records of the Population Welfare Department to the respective CEOs (Health).
