Naheeda Khaskheli, one of the three domestic workers injured in the Karachi plane crash, died of her burn injuries at the Civil Hospital in Karachi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

She was admitted in the hospital’s Burns Centre after receiving severe wounds as the plane crash damaged several houses and vehicles in the Jinnah Garden area of Model Colony and caused an inferno.

The latest death caused by the PIA plane – the sole bread earner of her family – was a resident of a village located in the Malir district, whose around 50 percent body had received burns

The remaining two domestic workers are currently under treatment in the hospital, who had sustained 30 percent burn injuries.

The Karachi administration last week finalised a list of the properties damaged or destroyed in the May 22 plane crash.

The survey found that the 18 houses were partially damaged and two completely destroyed as the federal government vowed to compensate the affected people. Ten cars and 14 bikes were also destroyed in the incident.

Talking about the damage caused on the ground by the plane crash, Aviation Minister Ghulam Sarwar Khan had told a press conference in Islamabad that the affected families would be compensated.

As far as the dead people are concerned, he said apart from initially payment of Rs1 million, the actual compensation would be paid by the insurance company. Both the government and the CAA too would contribute, if and when required, said the minister.

About the damage caused on the ground, the minister said 12 to 15 houses were damaged as well as several cars and bikes destroyed in the incident.
