Azhar Ali clean-bowls Babar Azam with ‘shadi kar ley’ advice

June 1, 2021 12:32 PM

Former Pakistani cricket captain Azhar Ali is not your average humourist and he proves that frequently through indulging in moments of baffling humour sessions over social media.

This time the cricketer advises Pakistani top batsman and current captain Babar Azam to get married (‘shadi ker ley’).

During a question/answer session over social media, a person named ‘BabarAddictor’ asked the former captain what is his advice for teammate Babar Azam. As a top-order bat, Azhar did not advise Babar, also a world-class batsman, to keep focus on his footwork or keep a close eye on the bowlers.

Azhar managed to stun us all by saying: ‘Shadi ker lay’.

So it seems that Azhar Ali is rather concerned for Babar Azam and wishes for him to tie the knot soon.

We don’t mean to be rude but how is Babar’s marriage of any concern to Azhar Ali?

Sometimes, slip of tongue can prove to be very damaging and Azhar Ali it seems is the type of person who relies on ‘instant attack’.

However, maybe the former captain was just poking some harmless fun and is actually bothered by Babar Azam not tying the knot?

Then again that is trespassing personal limits. No?

But then social media is the mere definition of invading privacy.

Azhar Ali is a 36-year-old Pakistani international cricketer who is a former captain of the Pakistan national team.
