A dust-storm accompanied by a heavy downpour in Renala Khurd had not only paralyzed the rhythm of daily routine life but also inflicted a huge heritage loss by crashing down the main gate of the historic fort of famous warlord Sardar Mir Chakir Rind in Satgirah, Renala Khurd, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to details, a dust-storm escorted by heavy sleet that lashed Renala Khurd on Tuesday not only affected the routine life but it also brought down in its wake the main gate of the historic fort of Sardar Mir Chakir Rind in Satgirah.

There was no loss of life reported so far but the weather’s ferocity caused a heavy heritage blow.

A short while ago, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar released a special grant for the refurbishment of the fort and his late father conducted several emergency visits to the fort.

A few days ago, the local administration was made aware of the use of substandard material in the refurbishment of the fort, but the administration did not pay heed to the complaints.
