On the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shehbaz, Punjab Food Department came into action against such flour mills that had not launched timely threshing of wheat and had not delivered flour in the market on time, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

The Food Department imposed millions of rupees fine on eight flour mills in Lahore and also put a halt on their quotas. They included Tariq, Osama, Nambardar Qaisar and Nawab.

The Food Department said that these operations and raids conducted against these flour mills because they did not deliver flour in time to the market.
