FBR approves monthly Rs25,000 grant for PCS special children

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) started implementation of the grant of Rs 25,000/- for special children of employees of Pakistan Customs Service (PCS) from BS-1 to BS-22 on a monthly basis, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
Earlier, the FBR implemented a new Customs Command Fund (CCF) to reward informers and customs officers for their efforts in combating smuggling and enhancing operational capacity. 
This fund provides financial incentives and logistics support for intelligence gathering and anti-smuggling operations. 
Additionally, the FBR has also introduced a Rating and Reward System (RRS) for officers within the Pakistan Customs Service (PCS). This system, part of the FBR's broader Transformation Plan, aims to motivate officers through performance-based rewards. 
Key aspects of the FBR's rewards for Customs:
Customs Command Fund (CCF):
This fund, established through SRO 908(I)/2025, provides financial incentives up to Rs 500,000 per case to informers and customs officers involved in anti-smuggling activities. 
Rating and Reward System (RRS):
This system, part of the FBR's Transformation Plan, assesses the performance of PCS officers based on peer evaluations and other criteria, and rewards them accordingly. 
Performance-based rewards:
The RRS grants financial rewards based on performance rankings, with higher rankings potentially leading to more significant rewards.
