Four militants killed in encounter with DG Khan police

Four militants were killed in an encounter with the Punjab Police in Dera Ghazi Khan, a police spokesperson said on Sunday.

According to the police, Dera Ghazi Khan police killed the militants in an encounter in the Kot Mubarak area. Police also found weapons on the bodies of the militants during the search operation, which was carried out on the basis of intelligence reports.

Police said that militants attacked the police force with heavy weapons, but police's timely response demolished militants' designs. 

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Punjab Police Inspector General Dr Usman Anwar have praised the police force for eliminating the militants who were involved in terrorizing people.
