JI holds rally to condemn Israel over Gaza genocide
Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Emir Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman has condemned the conscience of the international community and the Muslim countries for their silence over the genocide of the people of Gaza, reported 24NewsHDTV Channel.
Addressing a public rally in Hyderabad on Sunday evening to express solidarity with the people of Gaza and Kashmir, JI chief said that Muslims around the world must speak up against oppression in the present situation.
Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman said Israel is targeting and killing children, women, and innocent people in Gaza.
He also accused both the government and the opposition of not doing enough to support Palestinians. “The opposition does nothing unless it furthers their aims,” Rehman said.
“They do not raise their voices for Palestine and do not condemn America. Whether it is the government or the opposition, they will continue to bow to America. America was openly supporting Israel, and many European countries were also silent,” he added.
JI chief also said that India is also treating Kashmiris badly, torturing people, arresting youth, and stopping freedom of speech in Occupied Kashmir.
He said that the public should join the rally in large numbers and that young women and elders must come out and protest peacefully. Hafiz Naeem also urged people to stand up for Palestine and “fight for the Palestinian cause”.
At the end of the rally, the protestors chanted slogans against Israeli and over the silence of Muslim world.
