Kh Asif warns India against any new military adventure, says Pakistan ready to respond

Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif has said that Pakistan's armed forces are fully prepared to deal with any situation, warning India against launching any new military operation and asserting that Pakistan would respond decisively to any aggression.

Reacting to recent remarks by the Indian Army Chief, Khawaja Asif said that if India is contemplating what he referred to as "Operation Sindoor 2," it should be prepared for the consequences.

The Defence Minister said that India had made a mistake in the past and continues to face the repercussions of what he described as its failure in the recent conflict.

He claimed that India was still dealing with the humiliation of that outcome.

Khawaja Asif further alleged that India is engaged in a proxy war through elements operating from Afghanistan.

Referring to the current regional situation, he said Pakistan remained vigilant and capable of defending its interests.

"The Pakistan Army is ready to face any challenge and will respond effectively to any aggression," the minister said, adding that India should avoid actions that could further escalate tensions in the region.

His remarks came in response to comments made by the Indian Army Chief, who recently acknowledged the growing challenges of maintaining secrecy in modern warfare.

The Indian military chief reportedly said that technological advancements have made it increasingly difficult to conceal troop movements and battlefield activities, as opposing forces are often able to monitor developments in real time.

The Indian Army Chief also highlighted challenges related to military preparedness, inter-agency coordination, and information operations in the contemporary security environment.
