PSL 6: Islamabad United-Quetta Gladiators match postponed over Covid-19

The Pakistan Cricket Board on Monday postponed the 12th match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) between Islamabad United and Quetta Gladiators as one of the United players Fawad Ahmad tested positive for the coronavirus.

In a tweet, the PCB announced the deferment of the match and said that the match would be played tomorrow (Tuesday) at 7pm. It said, “Quetta Gladiators-Islamabad United match rescheduled for Tuesday, 2 March, at 7pm PKT. More details to follow shortly.”

The Pakistan Cricket Board said, “Test results of both Quetta Gladiators and Islamabad United squads have come back negative. This is being done to ensure players from both sides get time to prepare for the game. Tickets will be valid for tomorrow.”

Earlier, the PCB said that a player from one of the sides featuring in this evening’s match tested positive. The player had showed symptoms two days ago and had been immediately isolated.
