ANF seizes drugs worth over Rs100 million in seven raids 

As part of a crackdown on the use of drugs at educational institutions as well as in different cities of the country, the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) in seven raids arrested six persons besides recovering 69.640 kilograms of narcotics worth over Rs100 million, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday. 

According to the ANF spokesman, in one of the raids conducted near Ring Road in Peshawar, two kilos of chars were recovered from the bag of a suspect. 

“Similarly, 1.8 kilos of chars were recovered from a man near a hotel in Islamabad,” he said, adding, “840 grams of chars were recovered from a man near a university in Attock.” 

The spokesman claimed that all those arrested later confessed to having been involved in supplying drugs to the students at educational institutions. 

He further said that 58 kilos of heroin was recovered from a place near Kuchlak bypass near Quetta. “The drug had been concealed for smuggling,” the spokesman elaborated.   

Likewise, he went on to say, 4.8 kilos of chars, a pistol along with eight rounds, were recovered from a car on M-1 in Islamabad.

“Similarly, 1.2 kilos of chars were recovered from a suspect in a second raid conducted on the M-1,” the spokesman said, adding, “One kilo of ice was recovered from a man near a bypass in Dera Ismael Khan.”

He informed that cases had been registered against those arrested under the Anti-Narcotics Act and investigations had begun.
