Fiza Ali fires back at Nadia Khan and Nida Yasir over Ramadan show criticism
Pakistani TV host Fiza Ali has strongly responded to criticism from senior anchors Nadia Khan and Nida Yasir regarding her Ramadan transmission, calling their comments hypocritical.
Fiza defended her show, highlighting that Nida Yasir frequently discusses bold and private matters of celebrities on her programs, yet singled out Fiza’s Ramadan content.
She also referenced a past incident involving Nadia Khan and actress Noor Bukhari, alleging that Nadia interfered in Bukhari’s marriage for a viral moment.
Fiza stressed that she would never exploit anyone’s personal life, emphasizing the importance of protecting marriages over chasing social media attention.
Addressing Nida Yasir specifically, Fiza said, “You often discuss private and romantic details of celebrities like Iqbal Hussain, Jamal Shah, and Faryal Gohar on your show.
Criticizing Ramadan transmission while doing this yourself is unfair. At least have the decency to clear your own record before commenting on mine.”
Responding to accusations of chasing virality, Fiza explained that her content naturally goes viral throughout the year. “I don’t need to stage stunts or use controversial tactics just for attention,” she said, urging colleagues to respect the sanctity of Ramadan.
Fiza also addressed the alleged leaked audio involving Dr. Nabiha, clarifying that the clip circulating online was from last year’s Ramadan show and was never planted for publicity. She explained that her emotional reaction on air stemmed from genuinely empathizing with Dr. Nabiha’s marital struggles.
“People need to understand, I had no idea Dr. Nabiha would share these personal details,” Fiza said. “No segment was planned to create a viral moment, and there is no proof of a ‘leak.’” She reiterated her support for women facing difficult marriages and insisted, “My work is about helping, not exploiting, others.”
