Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has convened a high-level meeting to assess the current security situation in the region today, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Sunday.
According to official sources, senior military leaders and the heads of intelligence agencies will participate in the discussions, which aim to review developments across Afghanistan, Iran, and other neighbouring countries.
The meeting will also provide a platform for strategic consultations regarding Pakistan’s policy and response in light of recent regional developments.
Sources indicate that in the coming days, the government plans to formalise guidelines that articulate Pakistan’s position on security and regional stability.
