AJK leaders put weight behind Pakistani govt, army as tensions with India soar

Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwaar ul Haq on Thursday convened an all parties conference amid fears of a misadventure by India days after the Pehalgam false flag operation.

Attended by religious and political parties, the all parties conference expressed solidarity with the armed forces of Pakistan and rejected the Indian water aggression. The conference also praised the Pakistani government’s announcement that it would give a befitting response to any Indian aggression. It said that India would regret if it did any kind of misadventure against Pakistan and appealed to the world to take notice of the India’s provocative behaviour.

Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwaar ul Haq, opposition leader Khawaja Farooq, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) AJK President Shah Ghulam Qadir, AJK Legislative Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Latif Akbar, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Chaudhry Yasin, former prime minister Sardar Attique Ahmad Khan, former prime minister Sardar Qayyum Niazi, Senior Minister Waqar Ahmad Noor, former prime minister Sardar Yaqoob Ahmad Khan, All Parties Hurriet Conference Convener Ghulam Muhammad Saffi, Liberation League President Manzoor Qadir Dar and AJK ministers Deewan Ali Khan Chughtai, Sardar Amir Altaf, Mian Abdul Waheed, Abdul Majid Khan, Chaudhry Azhar Sadiq and Prof Taqdees Gilani attended the all parties conference.
