Three friends killed as oil tanker crushes motorcycle in Gujrat district

Three youths were killed in a tragic road accident on the Grand Trunk (GT) Road near Panjan Kasana in Gujrat district after a speeding oil tanker ran over a motorcycle, 24NewsHD TV reported on Friday. 

According to police, the victims, aged between 14 and 20, were riding together when the accident occurred.

All three died on the spot after being crushed by the tanker, Rescue 1122 officials said.

They shifted the bodies to a nearby hospital.

The deceased were identified as residents of the nearby village of Jhanda Wala.

Police said the tanker driver fled the scene immediately after the crash, and a search operation has been launched to apprehend him.
