The government has registered two cases against the proscribed Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) Chief Saad Rizvi and 1538 workers in the Wazirabad police stations.
The 24News HD TV channel reported on Monday that the First Information Reports (FIRs) were registered against the TLP activists on their violations of the laws during the recent long march.
According to the report, the names of the detained chief of the TLP Saad Hussain Rizvi and Member Provincial Assembly of Sindh (MPA) Qasim Fakhri were also included in the FIRs.
The report said that the first FIR was registered in the Wazirabad City Police Station in which Saad Rizvi, Qasim Fakhri MPA and identified 207 workers are nominated.
In the same FIR, the Wazirabad police have also included some 600 unidentified workers of the banned religious party, the TLP.
While the second FIR was registered against the TLP chief and his 131 identified workers and some 600 unidentified workers.
The Wazirabad police have said in the FIR that the nominees were involved in violating 14 sections of the law (Pakistan Penal Code) including illegal road blocking, misuse of loudspeakers, harassing the citizens and interference in official business.
It is also mentioned in the said FIRs that all the acts of violation of laws were done by the TLP at the behest of their chief Saad Hussain Rizvi.
