Asma Jahangir Group gets victory in Islamabad Bar Council’s election

Asma Jahangir Group has grabbed victory in Islamabad Bar Council’s election on Saturday, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel. 

Asma Jahangir Group wins 3 out of 5 seats. Asma Jahangir Group’s candidates Abdul Rehman Hurr Bajwa, Raja Aleem Abbasi and Zafar Khokhar got victories in Islamabad Bar Council elections. 

Abdul Rehman Hur Bajwa won by getting 1369 votes, Raja Aleem Abbasi declared winner by getting 1351 votes and Ch. Hafeezullah Yaqoob elected as member of Bar Council by 1295 votes. Zafar Khokhar won by securing 1288 votes and Asif Irfan won by securing 1126 votes. 

Hamid Khan Group won 1 seat in Islamabad Bar Council. According to unofficial results, Hafizullah Yaqoob of Hamid Khan Group was elected as a member of Islamabad Bar Council. A total of 21 candidates are contesting in the Islamabad Bar Council elections

A total of 21 candidates were contesting the elections. The top 5 candidates who receive the most votes in the Bar Council were declared the winners. 

Earlier, the polling process continued without interval from 9am and continued till 4pm. No untoward incident occurred during the polling process. Polling process continued peacefully. 21 candidates were contesting for 5 seats of Islamabad Bar Council.
