Dania Shah, the third wife of late televangelist Aamir Liaquat Hussain, filed a petition in Supreme Court (SC) against the decision of Sindh High Court (SHC) regarding the annulment of exhumation of the dead body of Aamir Liquat, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
According to details, Dania Shah submitted a petition in the apex court asking to annul the ruling of SHC nullifying Aamir Liaquat Hussain's exhumation and post-mortem.
The petition requested to reinstate the decision of Judicial Magistrate that ordered the post-mortem of Aamir Liaquat.
The application seeking Aamir Liaquat's post-mortem, pleaded that the decision of the SHC cannot be upheld in the eyes of the law since the honourable court did not consider the evidence and facts properly.
The petitioner further contended that the divorced wives of Aamir Liaquat do not want exhumation and post-mortem but for the sake of justice, it is important to ascertain the actual cause of his death.
“Being the wife of Aamir Liaquat, I am the heir of his assets after his death. On the contrary, his children and ex-wives have taken over property and wealth illegally,” Dania Shah claimed.
