Earthquake shakes parts of Pakistan
A 5.4 magnitude earthquake shook parts of Pakistan on Sunday night.
Strong tremors were felt in Nowshera, Upper Dir, Kumrat, Peshawar, Swabi, Lower Dir, Khal, Timergara, Mohmand, Charsadda, Takht Bhai, Islamabad, Swat, Rawalakot, Attock, Mianwali, Khyber, Landikotal and Jamrud.
Tremors were also felt in Shringal, Barwal, Dir, Larjum, Upper Swat, Matta, Faisalabad, Murree, Mandi Bahauddin, Shangla and Peshawar. Tremors were also felt in Pakistan, India, Tajikistan and Afghanistan.
According to the initial information, the magnitude of the earthquake on the Richter scale was 6 and its epicenter was 23 kilometers from Afghanistan. The depth of the earthquake was recorded 15 kilometers underground, the Seismological Center said.
No reports of any loss of life or property were received immediately.
