Govt announces award for late Pattoki AC Furqan 

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz announced a compensation of Rs10 million and the highest civil award for late Assistant Commissioner of Pattoki Furqan Ahmad Khan, who died while performing his duties during flood relief operations, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

Assistant Commissioner Pattoki Furqan Ahmad Khan continued to perform his official duties despite being a cancer patient for the last four days.

In her condolence message, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz paid glowing tributes to the services rendered by the late deputy commissioner.

She termed the late assistant commissioner Furqan Ahmad a real hero who sacrificed his life while serving the flood-affected people.

Namaz-i-Janaza offered

Assistant Commissioner Pattoki Mohammad Furqan Khan, who died after falling in the washroom of relief camp in Head Balloki was laid to rest in his native town in Lakki Marwat on Monday. 

A large number of people, including his friends, relatives, social and political personalities and district administration officials, attended his Namaz-e-Jamaza.

According to official sources, Khan had been stationed at the Head Balloki Rest House for the past four days, coordinating relief efforts in flood-hit areas. He suddenly collapsed after a brain vessel rupture. Despite being provided immediate medical aid, he could not survive.

His sudden demise comes as Punjab continues to battle devastating floods. 

Relatives and friends of the late assistant commissioner expressed their heartfelt grief and sorrow at the sad demise of Furqan Mohammad Khan.

They prayed to Almighty Allah to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss with fortitude and courage.
