Petrol price unchanged, diesel down by Rs3 per litre

The government has announced a Rs. 3 per litre reduction in the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) for the next two weeks, while petrol prices will remain unchanged.

According to a notification issued by the Finance Division, the new price of high-speed diesel is set at Rs. 269.99 per litre. Petrol will continue to be sold at Rs. 264.61 per litre.

The notification also outlines reductions in the prices of other petroleum products:

Superior kerosene oil has been reduced by Rs. 1.46 per litre, now priced at Rs. 176.81.

Light diesel oil has been cut by Rs. 2.40 per litre, bringing the new price to Rs. 159.76.

In the previous price revision, the government had slashed the price of diesel by Rs. 12.84 per litre, while petrol prices were left unchanged.
