Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Tuesday met with Foreign Minister of the People’s Republic of China Wang Yi, on the sidelines of the SCO Council of Heads of State meeting in Bishkek, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The two foreign ministers discussed matters of mutual interest, including the 2026 United Nations General Assembly in New York and the ongoing process for electing the next Secretary-General of the United Nations.

They held a warm and cordial exchange, reaffirming the All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership between Pakistan and China.

Ishaq Dar also had a warm and cordial interaction with Foreign Minister of Iran Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov, Foreign Minister of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin, and Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan Yermek Kosherbayev, on the sidelines of SCO Council of Heads of State meeting in Bishkek.

Ishaq Dar also had separate interaction with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, and Foreign Minister of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin.

Ishaq Dar also met with met with Director of Türkiye’s National Intelligence Organization (MİT), İbrahim Kalın, on the sidelines of the SCO Council of Heads of State meeting in Bishkek.

The two sides exchanged views on regional developments and matters of mutual interest, including the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement and the inaugural meeting of its Strategic Political and Defence Committee, as well as recent developments in the region.

The DPM/FM underscored the importance of continued coordination and diplomatic engagement for regional peace, security and stability.

Ishaq Dar met with Foreign Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov. Both leaders reaffirmed the strong bonds of friendship and brotherhood between Pakistan and Azerbaijan and expressed their commitment to further strengthening the bilateral partnership. They also exchanged views on regional and international developments and matters of mutual interest.

Ishaq Dar also had a pull-aside interaction with Foreign Minister of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin on the sidelines of the SCO Council of Heads of State meeting in Bishkek. The two sides exchanged views on bilateral relations and regional developments of mutual interest, reaffirming the close and brotherly ties between Pakistan and Tajikistan.

Ishaq Dar also met with Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov. The two sides reaffirmed the close and growing Pakistan–Uzbekistan partnership and discussed ways to further strengthen cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.

Ishaq Dar also held a pull-aside meeting with Foreign Minister of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan. As Pakistan and Armenia mark the first anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, the two Foreign Ministers reaffirmed their commitment to building on the positive momentum in bilateral ties and exchanged views on regional and international developments of mutual interest.
