Commenting on Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President and Pakistan Democratic Movement’s (PDM) nominee for the seat of prime minister Shehbaz Sharif’s ‘beggars are not choosers’ statement, Federal Planning Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Central Secretary General Asad Umar said on Saturday that Shehbaz should bear this thing in mind that Pakistanis were not beggars, reported 24NewsHD TV channel

In a tweet, the PTI minister said that although the nation was not a beggar, but a majority of the country’s ruling elite had no conscience, and did not shy away from begging from the world just for the sake of their personal interests.

“Mian Saab, Pakistanis are honourable and dignified people,” he said, and added, “And that’s why they stand by a man of character and principles (Prime Minister Imran Khan) at this critical juncture.”
