Rana Sana asks Buzdar to tender his resignation anew
Khaqan Abbasi warns of Article 6 against those who will try to throw spanner in no-trust motion: Asks PM to face it democratically and go home if he loses
PML-N leader Rana Sana Ullah has asked Chief Minister Usman Buzdar to tender his resignation anew as the latter’s resignation is unconstitutional, reported 24NewsHDTV channel.
Talking to media on Saturday, Rana Sana said that since Buzdar’s resignation was unconstitutional, the governor should take notice of this mistake. He should ask the chief minister to write his resignation as per the requirement of the constitution.
If Governor Muhammad Sarawr fails to rectify this gaffe and does not fulfil his constitutional duty, he will be held accountable tomorrow, he warned.
Last night during a press conference, PML-N leader Kh Saad Rafique and Rana Sana pointed to the constitutional mistake in the resignation of Chief Minister Buzdar saying that the CM should have addressed his resignation to the governor, not the prime minister. Moreover, the notification issued by the secretary in this regard is also illegal, they held. They warned they could move court if the secretary does not withdraw the illegal notification, accepting his error.
On the other hand, PML-N leader and former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi advised Prime Minister Imran Khan to face the no-confidence motion democratically and if he was defeated, he should go home.
Talking to media on Saturday, Abbasi prophesied that those who were advising premier to invoke Article 6, they would be the first in line to bring evidence against Prime Minister Imran Khan.
The PML-N leader warned if these ministers tried to interfere in the no-confidence motion, then Article 6 would be invoked against them.
He said this government had lost majority and confidence of the parliament, so the rulers should pack up and go home now.
