PM Shehbaz gives thumbs-up to law and order situation during Eid holidays
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi briefs prime minister on security measures, progress on repatriation of Afghan nationals
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed satisfaction over the law-and-order situation in the country on the occasion of Eidul Fitr, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
PM Shehbaz Sharif was talking to Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi who called on him at his Lahore residence on Wednesday.
The Interior Minister briefed the Prime Minister on security measures and progress on repatriation of Afghan nationals.
Mohsin Naqvi also extended Eidul Fitr greetings to the Prime Minister.
Authorities in Pakistan are set to initiate strict legal action against the illegal foreigners and Afghan Citizen Card holders as the deadline given to them to leave the country has expired.
The government had given a deadline to them for leaving the country by 31st of last month.
The process of repatriation of illegal Afghans to their homeland is continuing. As of now, the total number of returnees stands at around 886,000.
