Ishaq Dar, Uzbek Foreign Minister discuss regional situation
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar Thursday held a telephone conversation with Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov to discuss the evolving regional situation.
During the call, both leaders exchanged views on key regional developments and matters of mutual interest, underscoring the importance of continued diplomatic coordination.
The Uzbek foreign minister praised Pakistan’s active role in promoting peace and stability in the region, the spokesperson said. He also appreciated Pakistan’s recent hosting of a meeting of four foreign ministers in Islamabad, terming it a constructive diplomatic effort.
Saidov expressed strong support for the Pakistan-China five-point initiative aimed at fostering peace in the Gulf and the Middle East, describing it as a welcome step towards regional stability.
Both sides agreed to maintain close contact and enhance cooperation on issues of shared concern, reaffirming their commitment to strengthening bilateral ties and regional peace efforts.
