Doctor suffers heart attack after surviving gun attack in Sukkur

As the saying goes “out of the frying pan, into the fire”, a senior doctor suffered a heart attack in Sukkur minutes after surviving a gun attack in which his staffer was killed on Saturday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Professor Dr Karpal Das remained unhurt when some unknown assailants opened fire on his vehicle in Sukkur.

The firing incident took place near Sukkur Barrage. Sources said that technician Wazir Bohar received a bullet in his head and died on the spot, while Dr Karpal Das remained unhurt but later shifted to a hospital due to a heart attack.

Soon after receiving the report, a heavy contingent of police rushed to the spot and shifted the dead body to the Civil Hospital in Sukkur.

Police, after collecting evidence, have started investigation.
