Mohammad Ahmed's controversy takes shocking turn as publicity stunt claims surface

Veteran Pakistani writer and actor Syed Mohammad Ahmed has once again found himself at the centre of an online debate after fresh publicity stunt claims surfaced surrounding his recent controversy.

The discussion began after Syed Mohammad Ahmed appeared on the Dareecha Podcast with Sheeba Khan, where he openly reflected on two difficult experiences from his career.

During the conversation, he admitted regretting the way he handled a past misunderstanding with actress Hira Mani. The veteran actor revealed that he ignored her repeated calls and messages while he was upset, adding that he now feels deeply ashamed of his behaviour.

Ahmed also recalled a painful incident involving a younger co-star, claiming he was publicly mocked on the set of a drama. According to him, the actor made fun of his appearance in front of the crew, leaving him deeply hurt and disappointed. His emotional account quickly attracted widespread attention and sparked extensive discussion across social media.

The controversy took another turn after a BTS video surfaced online that appeared to show actor Fahad Sheikh joking about Syed Mohammad Ahmed's appearance.

The clip quickly went viral and triggered mixed reactions. While many viewers expressed sympathy for the veteran actor, others questioned whether the controversy had been exaggerated for publicity.

The debate intensified after some social media users and online commentators suggested the controversy may have been staged.

The claims gained further attention during an episode of the Nownimal podcast, where the hosts questioned the timing of the viral BTS clip and discussed how the actor's identity was initially kept undisclosed before the video surfaced.

However, they presented these views as opinion and discussion, while no independent evidence has confirmed that the controversy was planned.

The podcast also revisited an older Instagram video in which Syed Mohammad Ahmed sarcastically joked that people could gain fame by criticising colleagues and creating controversies for views instead of waiting for acting opportunities.

The resurfaced clip has further fuelled the online debate, with some viewers interpreting it as satire while others believe it has raised additional questions about the ongoing controversy.

The controversy has since divided social media users. Some continue to support Syed Mohammad Ahmed, believing his emotional account reflects a genuine experience of disrespect on set. Others remain unconvinced and argue that the sequence of events has raised questions deserving closer scrutiny.

At present, however, there is no independent evidence confirming that the controversy was planned or staged.
