Punjab govt declares fitness certificate mandatory for M-Tag

The Punjab government adopted effective measures to curb smog in the province and decided not to issue M-Tag to vehicles sans fitness certificate, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
According to details, provincial transport department already imposed complete ban on entry of 30-years-old vehicles in Lahore.
Now owners of the vehicles bound to show registration book, valid license with fitness certificate while applying for M-Tag. The provincial transportation department already written a letter to S&GAD.
During the first phase, this decision will be implemented on all the vehicles owned by Punjab government.
